Katie Wigington is a freelance writer and marketing guru. Her personal essay Please Tie Your Shoes was published in A Cup of Comfort® For Military Families in 2008. She has also written an article featured in the Mint Hill Times, Sending Our Kids Off to War; a web based article, Serve Your Country: Support The Troops, expressing troop support as patriotism and not politics; and was the editor of Devil Dog Chow™ a fundraising cookbook containing over 500 recipes received from Marine Corps families. Devil Dog Chow™ is available for sale at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Triangle, Virginia and at MarineParents.com. Katie is the proud mother of Nicholas, a United States Marine Corps combat veteran; and a native of San Francisco, California. She is currently living in Marin County with her three dogs, Smokie, Noodlehead and Toshi and very near two of her sisters.
